I admire vintage things, I admire how they give you nostalgic feeling – or actually gives you the idea of how simple life was and people were busting their ass off just to get things done. Those days when people were not so dependent with technology…yet.
One of the things I appreciate the most is a hand written letter. I remember I used to exchange letters with friends when I was young, I collect them and keep them then read it from time to time. We even try to be creative when writing letters, effort all through out! Fun days. Those were fun days.
Now, people barely give out letters because they can just send messages through email and text messages. Sad? Yes, a little bit. That’s why whenever I receive letters from my children I really appreciate it and try to keep it as much as I can. Even if it’s just a simple card that says “Ysa” or “I love you Ysa” – it melts my heart all the time. (Not because of the I love you. Just the thought and effort of making one.)
I like the physical feeling it gives me. Being able to touch the paper as I read through it and crumple it afterwards haha! Kidding aside 🙂 but seriously, I love how it gives my senses a go. I’m not just reading something on a screen but I’m actually holding it, folding it after and keeping it somewhere.
We should start bringing back hand written letters again. 🙂
